2003 Conference Videos: Stuart Salter

Mr. Salter has broad public and private sector experience in the areas of international development assistance, the application of science and technology to development, and telecommunications. Currently, Mr. Salter is the Acting Director General of Science and Technology in the Policy Branch of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Prior to this, Mr. Salter held the position of Telecommunications Specialist in the Americas Branch of CIDA. Within the private sector, Mr. Salter has held the positions of Executive Vice President and General Manager of Com Dev (a Canadian space technology company), Director, Marketing of SR Telecom (a Canadian telecommunications company specializing in rural communications, particularly in developing countries) and consultant in telecommunications with Deloitte and Touche. Mr. Salter is a professional engineer with a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Hull (UK).
