2006 EWB National Conference Ottawa, Ontario - January 18-21, 2006

From the Delegates' Booklet:

The conference theme - Looking Back and Moving Forward - challenges conference speakers and delegates to critically analyze the strides that have been taken towards meeting the United Nations. Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), aimed at halving world poverty by 2015. Throughout the conference, speakers and delegates will also explore what remains to be done, given that the goals may not be reached by the target date with the current level of action.

These issues will be examined both in a local and global context, by looking at the specific role that EWB and its partners should play. To examine the global climate of the MDGs, the conference program combines the best aspects of inspirational speakers, small group discussions and interactive workshops.
